Say a (background) process is linked to libpwmd which and tries to open an
uncached file with PWMD_OPEN. gpg-agent doesn't have any idea what the tty is
and so neither will the pinentry program so there's no way to get the
password. libpwmd will then need a user lookup function to get the more recent
(idle time) tty for the same user as the socket name. If the user is not
logged in then the application is SOL.
