4 Date Modules Changes
6 2018-10-22 (all) Automake >= 1.11 and Autoconf >= 2.63 are required.
8 2016-09-05 progname There is now an alternate module 'getprogname'. It
9 defines a getprogname() function; use it to obtain
10 the name of the current program.
11 Recommended use:
12 - In a program's main() function, and associated
13 usage() and help() functions, use 'progname'.
14 - In library code, or more generally any code that
15 is not near the main() function, use
16 'getprogname'.
18 2013-04-24 gettext If your project uses 'gettextize --intl' it is now

528 wrappers around Winsock functions, so that
529 socket descriptors are now compatible with
530 file descriptors. In general, this change
531 will simply improve your code's portability
532 between POSIX platforms and Windows. In
533 particular, you will be able to use ioctl and
534 close instead of ioctlsocket and closesocket,
535 and test errno instead of WSAGetLastError ().
536 On the other hand, you have to audit your code to
537 remove usage of these Winsock-specific functions.
539 This change does not remove the need to call
540 the gl_sockets_startup function from the sockets
541 gnulib module. Also, for now select is disabled
542 when you include the sys_socket module; while
543 the functionality will be restored soon, for
544 efficiency it is suggested to use the poll system
