   6 Some users have had success installing on Microsoft IIS web servers. While\r
   7 this appears to work as normal, it is worth noting that it remains untested\r
   8 by the core Elgg team and should be approached with caution.\r

  10 IIS Mod-Rewrite is required. This can be obtained from:\r

  12     http://www.micronovae.com/ModRewrite/ModRewrite.html\r
  13 \r
  14 Once this is installed, follow the instructions in INSTALL as normal. However,\r
  15 when you copy htaccess-dist to .htaccess, open this file in a text editor and\r
  16 remove all lines that don't start with RewriteEngine or RewriteRule.\r
