   4 You are proficient in some language the poster is not yet translated in? Please
   5 help us! It shouldn't take you more than half an hour:

   7 1) Copy the original `poster_en.tex' under a new name; for instance, if you
   8 intend making a translation in Finnish, save it under the name `poster_fi.tex'.
   9 Make sure you copy the file as plain text: it should look the same in your
  10 browser than in your text editor: the file is LaTeX, not HTML.

  12 2) Edit this new file, just replacing the English sentences you encounter with
  13 their translations in the targeted language: no need to translate the comments
  14 (everything after a '%' character) if you do not want to. As much as possible,
  15 leave the rest of the formatting untouched.

  17         * NOTE * : If you need extended characters (non ASCII), please stick
  18                    to ISO-8859-1 encoding (latin1) if it is possible. If not,
  19                    please use some unicode (preferably UTF-8).

  26 You might want to visualize the resulting PDF: no problem! You need to have
  27 reasonably recent (less than 3 years) versions of ghostscript, TeTeX and GNU
  28 make installed. Then, just make sure you get in sync with upstream
  29 repository[1], and type `make' from the command line.

  31         * NOTE * : If you used extended characters, do not forget to specify
  32                    the encoding to LaTeX adding a `\usepackage[enc]{inputenc}'
  33                    line in the header, where `enc' is the encoding (latin1,
  34                    utf8, etc.). For unicode support, you will need TeTex >= 3.0
