   4 WvPrint is print spool software that will make your life
   5 simple. WvPrint will change your life. Someday. If you help.

   7 Okay, so WvPrint may not do your laundry, wash your dishes, feed your
   8 cats, or make your bed... but it does make printing easier.

  10 The goal is to be able to set up printing with as little user
  11 interaction as possible, preferably none at all. For example, WvPrint
  12 uses IEEE 1284 device identification features to try to find an
  13 appropriate conversion filter for the printer.

  15 So if your printer is supported, you should be able to just plug it
  16 in, start WvPrint and be able to print!

  18 If your printer's not supported, it will make a skeleton configuration
  19 file for you, which you can then complete and contribute back to us
  20 via email, helping us improve WvPrint so that when you update to the next
  21 release of WvPrint, you'll be able to do away with the silly
  22 configuration file.

  30 WvPrint depends on a recent enough version of WvStreams. Take note
  31 that, unlike the classic (and headache-inducing) "lpr" package, it
  32 does not contain the client programs, but only the server part. We
  33 suggest using something like the "rlpr" package to submit jobs.

  41  - Find out if you have a parallel printer plugged in.

  44    or fallback to matching a filter to the "command set" detected.
