NonLinearTransformMode can apply, but still it looks a bit puzzling when
comparing the virtual deformation to the actual one. Find out if this is due
to approximation by mehses or an unforseen artifact of concatenation...
Also, invalidate the previously rendered mipmaps on-apply...
