1- build the tarball using "make dist"
2- upload the tarball to Google Code (http://code.google.com/p/safe-rm/downloads/list)
3- announce the release on Freshmeat (http://freshmeat.net/projects/safe-rm/)
4- update and upload the Debian package
5- add a new post on the safe-rm blog (http://www.safe-rm.org.nz)
