  49         Pootle is a web portal that allows you to translate more

  51         Pootle is GPL licensed Free Software, and you can download
  52         it and run your own copy if you like.<br>
  53         You can also help participate in the development in many
  54         ways (you don't have to be able to program).<br>

  68         While everybody can view the files, only registered users
  69         can edit them and receive credit for their effort, so the
  70         first thing you should do in order to translate is to
  71         register.<br>
  72         You can register following two simple steps, providing you
  73         have a current email address:<br>

  76         valid E-mail account</a>, choose "Register" and an
  77         activation code will be sent to the E-mail address you've

  99         User Page, which includes links to your selected languages

 113         desired files for translation directly through the links in

 115         Another way to find the file you wish to translate is

 118         The main page displays two categories - Languages and
 119         Projects. Choosing a language will give you the list of
 120         projects available for translation into this language;
 121         choosing a project will give you the list of languages to
 122         which it can be translated.<br>

 136         Each file available for translation can be accessible in
 137         two ways - "Quick Translate" will show only the fuzzy and
 138         untranslated entries, while "Translate All" will show all
 139         the entries in the file, translated or not. In both cases
 140         you'll be presented with a two-column table, with the
 141         strings to be translated on the left, and the current
 142         translation on the right.<br>
 143         The current edited entry will appear as of a text box with
 144         the options "Skip" and "Submit" below it. Naturally you can
 145         enter text in the text box and submit it or skip to the
 146         next entry.<br>
 147         You can also directly access any of the other entries
 148         presented by hovering the mouse over the right-hand edge of
 149         the text and clicking on the pop-up "Edit" option.<br>
