1 README/FAQ for MLdonkeySubmit for Linux
\r
5 This tool gives you an easy way to add a ed2k-link (like ed2k://|file|filename.exe|21352658|72b0b287cab7d875ccc1d89ebe910b9g|) with a single click to your mldonkey download queue.
\r
8 Right know you can download it from my homepage: http://www.scherthan.com
\r
9 I am not the author of this programm but was asked to publish it. And sure I will ;)
\r
14 -a running mldonkey (somewhere)
\r
16 -an ed2k-link to click on
\r
19 A genius...who else?
\r
20 You can contact the author via email: wusel@gmx.li
\r
22 *So who are you, writing this stupid README/FAQ and why?
\r
24 There was no document explaining how the programm worked, but I got a nice email in a strange foreign language from the author and I translated it...somehow.
\r
25 You can contact me via email: t.a.r.o.s@gmx.de
\r
26 or via the Linux/*nix-Forum: http://forums.edonkey2000.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?forum=21&1673
\r
28 *How do I install and use it?
\r
29 -put the file mldonkey_submit into a directory in you $PATH variable, e.g. /usr/bin/mldonkey_submit
\r
31 -put the file ed2k.protocol in the directory $KDEDIR/share/services/ed2k.protocol
\r
33 -change the value for HTTPURL=http://localhost:4080, HTTPUSER=me, HTTPPASS=mypassword in the file mldonkey and put in to /etc/sysconfig/mldonkey
\r
35 now you can just click on a ed2k-link in konquerer and the file will be added to the mldonkey-downloadqueue.
\r
37 You even yould invoke the the perlscript from the command-prompt of your shell:
\r
39 mldonkey_submit <ed2k-link>
\r
41 *Why is that much more complicated than the Windows version of MLdonkeySubbmit?
\r
42 Hey, you are using Linux! You are not such a moron, you can do that. Really!
\r
43 Installers are for wimps. You are a real man!
\r
45 Ok, that's it. Big cheers to WUSEL...
