1 This package uses the (La)TeX extension -shell-escape to
2 establish whether the document is being processed on a Windows
3 or on a Unix-like system (Mac OS X, Linux, etc.), or on Cygwin
4 (Unix environment over a windows system). Booleans provided
5 are \ifwindows, \iflinux, \ifmacosx, and \ifcygwin. The
6 package also preserves the output of uname on a Unix-like
7 system, which may be used to distinguish between various
8 classes of Unix systems.
