   6 To get rancid up and running asap, you have to complete these basic steps:

   8 - Configure LIST_OF_GROUPS in ${PREFIX}/etc/rancid/rancid.conf.
   9 - Configure the LIST_OF_GROUPS users in your mail aliases file.
  10 - As superuser, run the command "su - ${RC_USER} -c rancid-cvs".
  11 - Add the following line to ${RC_USER}'s crontab.

  14 1 * * * * ${PREFIX}/bin/rancid-run

  16 Please read the included README (${PREFIX}/share/doc/rancid/README) file,
  17 for more information about configuring and starting rancid.

  19 If upgrading from a non-pkgsrc version of rancid, following the instructions
  20 in ${PREFIX}/share/rancid/UPGRADING for retaining your existing CVS
  21 respository and rancid configuration.
