   1 Inkscape is an open source Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) editor
   2 with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, and Visio.
   3 Supported SVG features include basic shapes, paths, text, alpha
   4 blending, transforms, gradients, node editing, SVG-to-PNG export,
   5 grouping, and more.

   7 The goal is to be a fully XML, SVG, and CSS2 compliant extensible
   8 drawing tool. It has a GNOME-style interface.

  10 Inkscape can be used for slideshows, printing, converting image
  11 formats, and can be used without a GUI for some features.  It offers
  12 PDF import and export.

  14 This package also includes inkview, a slideshow program which uses
  15 SVG files.
