          display_mini_info(): removed unused return.
          mini_info_separator(): check the show_mini_info value before call this.
          Set attribute independently of HAVE_SLANG. Show total size of marked files.
          show_dir(): show size of current selected file or total size of marked
          files if mini-status is off.
          panel_update_contents(): removed. Since total size of marked files
          is displayed on mini-info-separator, paint_panel() is used instead.
          paint_panel(): used in update_dirty_panels() and panel_event()
          instead of panel_update_contents(). Fixed double call of show_dir().

        to date with cooledit 3.9.0. This adds some new features.
        Firstly the SYNTAX RULES ARE NO LONGER HARDCODED into
        syntax.c. This is because the rule set is becoming too
        large to maintain in its current form and because file
        loading is starting to get slow.

        There is also a bookmark feature which does not yet have
        key bindings assigned to it, but should be cool once
        these get inserted. Syntax rules files are named
            $LIBDIR/cooledit/syntax/*.syntax

        Temporary add $LGPM to $LIBS when checking for the resizeterm
        and keyok functions (ncurses might be linked against GPM).
