   4 This Build directory contains sources and tools which are used in
   5 building TeX Live, but are not part of the live hierarchy.  Each subdir
   6 has another README with more details.

   8 logs   - complete logs of all commits to the TL source repositories.
   9 source - the actual sources for all the executable programs.
  10 tests  - a testing infrastructure, quiescent for some years
  11          but left here in case it gets revived some day.

  13 Directories named tmp.raw and tmp.cooked are also created/used/removed
  14 here by ctan2tl, ctan2tds, and place.
