   7 Ikarus Scheme is an implementation of the Scheme programming
   8 language. The preliminary release of Ikarus implements the majority
   9 of the features found in the current standard, the Revised 6 report
  10 on the algorithmic language Scheme including full R6RS library and
  11 script syntax, syntax-case, unicode strings, bytevectors,
  12 user-defined record types, exception handling, conditions, and
  13 enumerations.  Over 80% of the R6RS procedures and keywords are
  14 currently implemented and subsequent releases will proceed towards
  15 brining Ikarus to full R6RS conformance.
