1 Contributor Code of Conduct
3 Note: In the sequel, "project" refers to GNU Guix, and "project
4 maintainer(s)" refers to maintainer(s) of GNU Guix.
6 As contributors and maintainers of this project, and in the interest of
7 fostering an open and welcoming community, we pledge to respect all
8 people who contribute through reporting issues, posting feature
9 requests, updating documentation, submitting pull requests or patches,

13 harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of level of
14 experience, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation,
15 disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age,
16 religion, or nationality.
18 Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:
20 * The use of sexualized language or imagery
22 * Trolling or insulting/derogatory comments
23 * Public or private harassment
24 * Publishing other's private information, such as physical or electronic
25 addresses, without explicit permission
26 * Other unethical or unprofessional conduct
28 Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit,
29 or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other
30 contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban
31 temporarily or permanently any contributor for other behaviors that they
32 deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
34 By adopting this Code of Conduct, project maintainers commit themselves
35 to fairly and consistently applying these principles to every aspect of
36 managing this project. Project maintainers who do not follow or enforce
37 the Code of Conduct may be permanently removed from the project team.
39 This Code of Conduct applies both within project spaces and in public
40 spaces when an individual is representing the project or its community.
42 Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may
43 be reported by contacting a project maintainer at guix-maintainers@gnu.org.
44 All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will
45 result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the
46 circumstances. Maintainers are obligated to maintain confidentiality
47 with regard to the reporter of an incident.
