1 alsa-lib: Somehow fix USE=ffmpeg so it can be turned off properly.
2 Compare alsa-* to that one gentoo bug's ebuilds and merge the changes that are worth keeping. (Bad bug?)
3 Update the two legacy nvidia-drivers versions for the new kernels on request (assuming the patch works.)
