1 # Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct
3 As a member of the Open JS Foundation, Express has adopted the
4 [Contributor Covenant 2.0][cc-20-doc].
6 If an issue arises and you cannot resolve it directly with the parties
7 involved, you can report it to the Express project TC through the following

10 In addition, the OpenJS Foundation maintains a Code of Conduct Panel (CoCP).
11 This is a foundation-wide team established to manage escalation when a reporter
12 believes that a report to a member project or the CPC has not been properly
13 handled. In order to escalate to the CoCP send an email to
14 coc-escalation@lists.openjsf.org.
18 We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our
19 community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body
20 size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender
21 identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status,
22 nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and

45 * Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks

47 * Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or email address,
48 without their explicit permission
49 * Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a
52 ## Enforcement Responsibilities
54 Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of
55 acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in
56 response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive,
59 Community leaders have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject
60 comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are
61 not aligned to this Code of Conduct, and will communicate reasons for
62 moderation decisions when appropriate.
66 This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces, and also applies when
67 an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces.
68 Examples of representing our community include using an official e-mail
69 address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an
70 appointed representative at an online or offline event.
74 Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be
75 reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement at
76 express-coc@lists.openjsf.org. All complaints will be reviewed and
77 investigated promptly and fairly.
79 All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the
80 reporter of any incident.
82 ## Enforcement Guidelines
84 Community leaders will follow these Community Impact Guidelines in determining
85 the consequences for any action they deem in violation of this Code of Conduct:
89 **Community Impact**: Use of inappropriate language or other behavior deemed
90 unprofessional or unwelcome in the community.
92 **Consequence**: A private, written warning from community leaders, providing
93 clarity around the nature of the violation and an explanation of why the
94 behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.
98 **Community Impact**: A violation through a single incident or series of
101 **Consequence**: A warning with consequences for continued behavior. No
102 interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with
103 those enforcing the Code of Conduct, for a specified period of time. This
104 includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels
105 like social media. Violating these terms may lead to a temporary or permanent
110 **Community Impact**: A serious violation of community standards, including
111 sustained inappropriate behavior.
113 **Consequence**: A temporary ban from any sort of interaction or public
114 communication with the community for a specified period of time. No public or
115 private interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited
116 interaction with those enforcing the Code of Conduct, is allowed during this
117 period. Violating these terms may lead to a permanent ban.
121 **Community Impact**: Demonstrating a pattern of violation of community
122 standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an
123 individual, or aggression toward or disparagement of classes of individuals.
125 **Consequence**: A permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within the
