   2 The mrouted program is covered by the following license.  Use of the
   3 mrouted program represents acceptance of these terms and conditions.

   5 1. STANFORD grants to LICENSEE a nonexclusive and nontransferable license
   6 to use, copy and modify the computer software ``mrouted'' (hereinafter
   7 called the ``Program''), upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set
   8 out and until Licensee discontinues use of the Licensed Program.

  10 2. LICENSEE acknowledges that the Program is a research tool still in
  11 the development state, that it is being supplied ``as is,'' without any
  12 accompanying services from STANFORD, and that this license is entered
  13 into in order to encourage scientific collaboration aimed at further
  14 development and application of the Program.

  16 3. LICENSEE may copy the Program and may sublicense others to use object
  17 code copies of the Program or any derivative version of the Program.
  18 All copies must contain all copyright and other proprietary notices found
  19 in the Program as provided by STANFORD.  Title to copyright to the
  20 Program remains with STANFORD.

  22 4. LICENSEE may create derivative versions of the Program.  LICENSEE
  23 hereby grants STANFORD a royalty-free license to use, copy, modify,
  24 distribute and sublicense any such derivative works.  At the time
  25 LICENSEE provides a copy of a derivative version of the Program to a
  26 third party, LICENSEE shall provide STANFORD with one copy of the source
  27 code of the derivative version at no charge to STANFORD.

  29 5. STANFORD MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
  30 By way of example, but not limitation, STANFORD MAKES NO REPRESENTATION
  31 OR WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR
  32 THAT THE USE OF THE LICENSED PROGRAM WILL NOT INFRINGE ANY PATENTS,
  33 COPYRIGHTS, TRADEMARKS OR OTHER RIGHTS. STANFORD shall not be held liable
  34 for any liability nor for any direct, indirect or consequential damages
  35 with respect to any claim by LICENSEE or any third party on account of or
  36 arising from this Agreement or use of the Program.

  38 6. This agreement shall be construed, interpreted and applied in
  39 accordance with the State of California and any legal action arising
  40 out of this Agreement or use of the Program shall be filed in a court
  41 in the State of California.

  43 7. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as conferring rights to
  44 use in advertising, publicity or otherwise any trademark or the name
  45 of ``Stanford''.
