   4     This directory contains a selected set of files from the ISC
   5     bind-9.3.4.tar.gz distribution.  No files have been moved
   6     or modified from their extracted position.

  12     DO NOT CREATE OR EDIT ANY FILES IN THIS DIRECTORY HIERARCHY!  THIS
  13     HIERARCHY REPRESENTS AN EXACT COPY, MINUS UNNEEDED FILES, OF THE
  14     ORIGINAL ARCHIVE.  All modifications are made in the
  15     DragonFly build wrapper, in:

  17         /usr/src/usr.sbin/named
  18         /usr/src/usr.sbin/(various)
  19         /usr/src/usr.bin/(various)
  20         /usr/src/lib/libbind
  21         /usr/src/lib/libbind9
  22         /usr/src/lib/libisc

  24     The only additional files added to this directory are README.DRAGONFLY
  25     and README.DELETED.

  27     UPGRADE PROCEDURE:

  29         * download a new bind distribution

  31         * extract the archive into /usr/src/contrib, using the subdirectory
  32           that the archive extracts as.

  34         * redirect the build directory to the new directory:

  36           /usr/src/usr.sbin/named/Makefile.inc
  37           /usr/src/lib/libbind/Makefile
  38           /usr/src/lib/libisc/Makefile

  40         * remove files that are not used (or run a build and figure out
  41           what files are not used and remove them).

  43         * Add the remainder to CVS.

  45         * Once the new archive is in place, the old one can be physically
  46           removed from the DragonFly CVS repository.  The CVS meister would
  47           have to do the physical removal.

  49           DO NOT MAKE ANY EDITS TO THE DISTRIBUTION IN THIS CONTRIB
  50           DIRECTORY, OTHER THEN TO ADD OR DELETE FILES ASSOCIATED WITH THE
