49 I'm walkin' through the summer nights
51 the jukebox playing low
53 yesterday everything was goin' too fast
55 Today it's movin' too slow
58 I got no place left to turn
60 I got nothin' left to burn
63 Don't know if I saw you if I would kiss you or kill you
65 It probably wouldn't matter to you anyhow
67 You left me standing in the doorway cryin'
69 I got nothin' to go back to now.
71 The light in this place is so bad
72 Makin' me sick in the head
73 All the laughter is just makin' me sad
74 The stars have turned cherry red
75 I'm strummin' on my gay guitar
77 The ghost of our old love has not gone away
78 Don't look it like it will anytime soon
79 You left me standin' in the doorway cryin'
80 Under the midnight moon.
82 Maybe they'll get me and maybe they won't
83 But not tonight and it won't be here
84 There are things I could say, but I don't
85 I know the mercy of God must be near
86 I been ridin a midnight train
87 Got ice water in my veins
88 I would be crazy if I took you back
89 It would go up against every rule
90 You left me standin' in the doorway cryin'
91 Sufferin' like a fool.
93 When the last rays of daylight go down
94 Buddy you'll roll no more
95 I can hear the church bells ringin' in the yard
96 I wonder who they're ringin' for
98 But my heart just won't give in
99 Last night I danced with a stranger
100 But she just reminded me you were the one
101 You left me standin' in the doorway cryin'
102 In the dark land of the sun.
104 I eat when I'm hungry drink when I'm dry
105 And live my life on the square
106 And even if the flesh falls off of my face
107 I know someone will be there to care
108 It always means so much
109 Even the softest touch
110 I see nothing to be gained by any explanation
111 There's no words that need to be said
112 You left me standin' in the doorway cryin'
113 Blues wrapped around my head.

120 <p>New arrangement during the
2003 southern US tour. The basic structure
121 of the song is the same as the album version, but a new riff has snuck
122 into the first part, with the chords in the descent coming twice as
123 fast and with an extra turn at the end. In the version that has been
124 available to me (Austin,
20 April
2003) it sounds as if the two
125 different guitars are in two different capo positions: the main rhythm
126 guitar at the
3rd fret and the other at the
1st fret. I have given
127 suggestions for the main riff in those two positions. In the
3rd
128 position there are two suggestions, one which is more or less what is
129 played by the band, the other a version which is more suitable for a
130 single guitar. In the
1st-fret version I have included the chords to
