git_output_option: Switch to generating branch/tag creation ancestry only for
the primary sprout revision, and recording notes in the log message regarding
cherrypicks. This ended up making the entire max_merges stuff obsolete.
The format of the log message addendum is very much inadequate at the moment,
I'll enhance it later.
