   3 This is a test release of this package.  Using it more or less
   4 implicitly signs you up to help us find whatever problems you report.

   6 You need up-to-date build tools.  To avoid some bootstrapping issues
   7 you may need to run the command "autoreconf -fvim" first, before
   8 running "configure".

  10 The documentation still needs more work.  Suggestions welcome.

  13 Please send comments and problem reports about this test release to
  14 bug-autoconf@gnu.org.  This program will get better only if you report
  15 the problems you encounter.

  17 Please, *do not package this*, *do not distribute it* widely, it is
  18 not ready for full scale use.  Because it is not fully functional, if
  19 you distribute this package, we will be buried under bug reports from
  20 panicked users.  We don't have time to spend on this, and nor do the
  21 users.
