   1 This is the README for xuni version 1.0.0.

   3 xuni is a game written with the SDL. It stands for "Explore the Universe".
   4 (It's entirely coincidental that reorganizing the letters spells UNIX, and
   5 that reversing the letters and adding another letter spells Linux.) It's
   6 pronounced "zoo-nee" in the author's opinion. But "ecks-you-nee" or
   7 "ecks-you-en-eye" or some other variation works as well.

   9 xuni was written from the ground up without incorporating any code
  10 (beyond a few functions in graphics.c) from my numerous previous SDL
  11 projects. It uses SDL_image, SDL_gfx, and SDL_ttf (my first project to
  12 do so) in addition to the SDL.
