1689 * The `printf' and `scanf' families of functions now understand a new
1690 formatting flag for numeric conversions: the ' flag (e.g. %'d or %'f) says
1691 to group numbers as indicated by the locale; for `scanf' and friends, this
1692 says to accept as valid only a number with all the proper grouping
1693 separators in the right places. In the default "C" locale, numbers are
1694 not grouped; but locales for specific countries will define the usual
1695 conventions (i.e. separate thousands with `,' in the US locale).
1697 * The pgrp functions have been regularized, slightly incompatibly but much
1698 less confusingly. The core functions are now `getpgid' and `setpgid',
