Explicitly run scripts with command 'python2.5'

Not entirely satisfactory, but this seems to be the simplest way to
get a "new enough" interpreter, and to explicitly document the minimum
version required.  The downside is that newer (and possibly faster)
python versions don't get picked up automatically.
