Merge branch 'db/vcs-helper' (early part) into next
* 'db/vcs-helper' (early part):
Makefile: install hardlinks for git-remote-<scheme> supported by libcurl if possible
Makefile: do not link three copies of git-remote-* programs
Makefile: git-http-fetch does not need expat
