[CpmlCurve] Improved mathematical documentation

Docbook in general and gtk-doc in particular are not well suited to
embed mathematical formulas. The approach suggested here:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466533

uses a deprecated feature of docbook that, worse, requires a quite
exotic PassiveTeX XSL-FO engine. No automatic generation of images
there...

I opted to improve the yet existing docblock maintaining the "code"
approach.
